Spider-Man Director Sam Raimi to Produce Angelfall Movie Adaptation

After the success of The Hunger Games, this really is a no-brainer, multiple sites are reporting Susan Ee’s postapocalyptic angel series Angelfall is getting the movie treatment. Well … unless this turns out like Raimi’s take on the Warcraft series which has yet to get off the ground, but that’s a one-time fluke, right?

In addition to Spider-Man, Raimi is no stranger to book into movie adaptations, having previously produced Legend of the Seeker, based off of Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth series. Which I will say is a pretty darn good tv series with some pretty kickass heroines, so high hopes for Penryn and the rest of the gang.

I’m sure this news is sure to excite my partner in crime, who gave the first book a raving review calling it a breath of fresh air. While I agree the premise is solid, I was kind of let down by the stock characters.

So now in addition to the sequel, slated for a 2013 release, fans will (hopefully) be packing theaters to check out the movie in the not too distant future.

First off Mitch, where have you been? About time we got some confirmation you were still alive.

And thank you for the news on Angelfall – you have no idea how excited I am! You can be sure everyone is going to be forcing you to read the sequel and see the movie. 😛

I’ve been online now and then, just not as frequently unfortunately. But thanks for your concern for my well being.

Re Angelfall … we’ll see. (I doubt it)
