Possessing courage beyond his small stature and a heart which belies his metallic construct, R2-D2 quite possibly may be the most famous droid in the galaxy.
R2-D2 is perhaps best known for successfully transporting the plans to the original Death Star from Princess Leia Organa to the Rebel Alliance, later acting as co-pilot for the legendary Luke Skywalker, whose proton torpedo blasts destroyed the massive battle station during the Battle of Yavin.
